My work as a freelance recruiter is focused on helping companies make hiring decisions they can feel confident about long after the role is filled. Most of the work I do today is for professional and senior management positions, where the right fit really matters.
Every search starts the same way, with conversations. I spend time understanding the role, the company, and what is actually going on behind the scenes. A job description only tells part of the story, and in my experience, it is rarely the most important part. The more context I have, the better the outcome for everyone involved.
I do not rush into recruiting. I ask questions, sometimes a lot of them. I want to understand what success in the role looks like, how the team works, and what has or has not worked in the past. When it makes sense, I use job benchmarking to add another layer of clarity, especially when comparing candidates beyond what shows up on paper.
I tend to work best with organizations that care about hiring well, not just hiring quickly. I am involved throughout the process and stay focused on alignment, not volume. That approach is not right for everyone, but it is the way I know how to do this work properly.
Working as a freelance recruiter gives me the space to be fully present in each search. There is no pressure to move people through just to fill a pipeline. I can focus on fit, long term impact, and building teams that actually work together.
That is the kind of recruiting I believe in.
